Default 99 vette slugish fuel pump ?

hey there i am ne where trying to find a good vette site.
so i have a 99 vette std tranny coupe.
90 000 mile.
well last summer i noticed a slight or flat spot in the rpm range of about 3-3500 only when i hit the throttel about 3/4 and hold it there or wide open... it would climb good untill that rpm range then it kinna flat line or dropped for a mill second and then it picked up and took off ..
well that buged me.. so.
this summer i got it out i put new plugs in it and a new in line fuel filter.. wich i bought off ebay they said it intrechanged with the one i had parts number did anyhow.
well i put it on and about a week it seemed to be the same... but now today i went to get it out and it did not start it just trun over. it did this all day i put fule in it i trun it over trun it off and then it started .. to start it i have to trun the key let it crank for a second and then trun off and start aging it fires rite up.... and now i noticed it doesnt pick up very fast wide open .. like frist gear i can hold to floor and dosent seem to get to 50 very fast... and that did spot is still there..

so could it be my plugs .. becase they was advanced auto brand platinmue or the in line filter wich was the cheaper one but it was new.
and iS THERE A FUEL FILTER IN THE GAS TANK of my car i wonder if it need replaced ... i am thinkg its a fuel flow problem ????????
any help please.. i hate having a vette and it takes off like a 6

Lets start by suggesting that you pull your codes and see what's there. Please do that and post them. Be sure to post the "H" or "C" appendix to each code, if any. Next, check your air bridge to insure its properly seated at the intake, especially the bottom of it. Since you have a '99, check the PCV valve connection tube from the PCV valve to the intake. They are known to develop holes in them.
The no-start issue is the main thing obviously. You need to insure the fuel pump is actually providing pressure at the rails when attempting to start the car. I'm sort of leaning towards the ignition switch having problems but do these other things first. BTW, '99 was the best year!

Pull the codes again now. I've run into a case long ago where I couldn't run but it would idle just fine and rev fine. This was on a 4-cyl engine in of course another car...it was plugged up cats. I would think you would have several associated codes if that was the case on yours.

Theres NO way clearing the DTCs caused it to run WORSE! What you need to do now is read and post the codes that return.

If English is your second language, I understand. If English is your first language, and you are typing like this on purpose.......it's difficult to read.........

I'm thinking that if you have a dealer nearby, you probably should have it towed to them and let them use a Tech2 on it. Whatever is wrong with it, its pretty serious or it sounds that way.

What IN LINE FUEL FILTER?? OEM or aftermarket and is it in the same place as the stock one?

READ YOUR FUEL PRESSURE!!!!!! Don't guess. Buy or borrow a gage and read and post the pressure at idle and when you are having the issue. On the Drivers side fuel rail theres a test fitting that one will screw in to.

What does you exhaust sound like when you are at full throttle? You could have clogged CATS.

You remove a AIR System check valve and connect a 0 - 20 PSI gage to the manifold flange and see what back pressure is in the exhaust manifold. I'm guessing you should not See more than 2-3 pounds or so at full throttle.

READ AND POST the DTCs again!

I noticed he said he put in the cheaper fuel filter. I have a 99 also. Unfortunately you have to use the expensive one. It has the fuel pressure regulator built in. The cheap one does not.

This fix makes about as much sense, as your sentence structure/grammar. The early style filter only has two connections. So when you installed it, you should have immediately knew something was wrong, due to a line that was left not connected.
