Trouble starting... is it the starter?
Usually my car starts with a click click vroommmm... (best way to describe it).
Over the weekend it started to sound like click click click click vrooommm...
Then whirl whirl click click vrooomm....
Then tonight it wouldn't start at all. It was a whirl whirl... nothing. Then nothing at all when I tried again.
Thankfully while I was on the phone with AAA it finally started up and I made it home.
Does this sound like it needs a new starter?

What is your battery voltage.DIC is ok but DMM at the battery is better.

Thanks for the quick responses guys... I'll take a look at it tomorrow.
Battery should be fine. Its only 2 years old, and the car gets driven on a regular basis all year long.

Sure sounds like the starter solenoid is dying rapidly but if the battery was low or bad battery connections...that would do it too.

I would check the connections at the battery and the starter first. It is also not uncommon for a two year old battery to fail.

Based on symptoms, I vote starter solenoid, or at a minimum, the battery cable connection to it.
