From a performance standpoint both produce about the same HP from the dyno results that I have seen. If cost is an issue, then I would have to go with the Kooks setup. You will be satisfied either way.
thanks for the response.
Im also wondering if one sounds different from the other ?
Im looking for something very quiet at idle and cruising, but loud at WOT
I guess the sound is more determined by the muffler.

i went with lg super pros... if i had them installed i would let you hear them but they are still in the box... i want to have them coated before i install them... one thing i like about the lg system is that is it totally bolt on, so you could do everything in your garage and not have to make a trip to the muffler shop afterwards to have stuff welded... power and sound levels will probably be in the same ballpark as compared to kooks, both are great brands... since you are running the titaniums the sound will be quieter at idle and cruise than most aftermarket catbacks but will make some noise at wot... but it will definitely not be as quiet as stock manifolds... if you go with the lg's contact tpsmak, he has great deals on lg stuff and if you're close by like me you can just go pick them up straight from lg and not have to wait on shipping, not to mention you save $100 or so on tax
I'm predjudiced, because I own LG Pros, but I think they're slightly better. For one, they're easier to install, as the design has a little more clearance. The largest factor, IMO, is the length of the primary tubes. They're much longer than the Kooks, and it has been proven that the power (TQ) "under the curve" is greater. As said above, the differences in overall performance would be minimal, and for the price difference you listed, assuming everything else is equal, I'd go for the Kooks. That seems to be a great bargain, so make sure they're made of the same material. Also, if you want to increase the overall sound level, then go with the O/R setup.

Kooks do not need a trip to the muffler shop afterwards to have stuff welded either.

Installed my LGs in early '04, and haven't needed any welding done. BTW, installed them on jackstands in my garage, which I've heard is impossible with Kooks. AR headers are very close to Kooks in length, but don't have the issues the other brands have, AFAIK.

I installed mine on jackstands, and although not exactly fun, certainly not the hardest headers Ive installed. Just took a few hrs
Don't remember the exact price, but my KOOKs were around $750
The Kooks Price is from Texas-speed.com and the LG price is from JWmotoring.com
One of my cats is bad because you can hear a nasty rattle at idle. I jacked my car up and knocked on the cat and the internals are all loose, and it reproduced the same noise rattle you could hear at idle.
