After its long winter nap, The Passenger
side window will no longer go down. I can hear
the relay or whatever it is at the door. It won't go down
with either door switch or with convertible top button.
Stuck UP!
So, before I tear into the door, just want to confirm
that it is the motor.
Thanks for any help
I have an intermittant problem with my passenger side window, but it goes away if I shut off the ignition and restart. Check the battery voltage... Marginal voltage can plague the system computers.
Turn on the key, hold down the window down switch and give the door pull a good thump with your fist, or slam the door while holding the switch down. Once it breaks loose, run the window up and down a few times and it will probably work until you store it again. The contacts in the motor get stuck.
Mine also started to work and not work on the pass side.
I just replaced the full motor/track in the door. There is a thread here about that. Someone found someone on eBay selling the complete peice at a fair price. So I bought one of those and just replaced mine.
