Default Electrical Blahs!

Looking to see if anyone has ever experienced any of these electrical problems on their C5 and/or has any advice for a noob C5 owner.

Last July I picked up an 01 Z06 with about 60K miles on her. I had two intermittent electrical issues with it a couple of months after I got it. First, the passenger side window wouldn't go up one day. The next day it seemed to work fine and I didnt have any further problems with it until today. Window is again stuck in the down position.

Shortly after that problem went away last year, my climate control wouldn't illuminate. Had that problem for all of a 1/2 hr drive. After restarting the car, the climate control lit right back up again and have had no problems since....Until I took the car out of storage last week. The Climate control has not illuminated since taking it out of storage and still does not illuminate to this day.

The final electrical issue I have is the turn signals seem to have a mind of their own. I never experienced this problem until just this week. Sometimes the turn signals function as required, sometimes they fail to work at all. Both driver and passenger side. They seem to fix themselves on again off again but I can see this getting worse as in the two cases above.

Obviously the window is the biggest concern, followed by the signals and the climate control. Are there any known electrical bugs with the C5 that may help me isolate these problems right away? I'm not an electrical guru, I am handy with a wrench and I can hold my own in a shop so I hope this a DIY thing. I know these issues are likely not related but I gotta put stop to this madness. Anyone have these issues before? How did you resolve them? Anyone have any diagnostic advice? Things I can/should do to help determine the culprit(s)?

My first thought is broken wires or bad ground on all these items. I know those things can be PITA to fix and even locate. My second thought is motor window motor/regulator pooched and it was just on its last legs. I'm hoping someone with experience can chime in and give me some direction.

All three very common problems with the C5. Lots of valuable information on the forum for these problems. Doing a search will provide a ton of info.

The digital disply for the hvac controls is a common problem. I fixed mine using the info on this site. Its a matter of resoldering a resistor or two, very easy. Just do a search.

You saved my bacon this morning with that window trick! thanks broski! thats awesome! I can go to work today...oh wait...that's not so awesome after all I will have to look further into this to determine if its the actual regulator or just dirty contacts.

I will look into the rest later but I don't think my climate control display is bulbs. If was bulbs, when it went out the first time it should not of been able to light up again after shutting down and re starting the car.

Well the HVAC display is working again....by itself. lol
Window stuck in the up position now. Better then down.
Turn Signals have a mind of their own still.

Found some wreckers with the window regulator for around $100, might get a spare one at that price just in case. Oh and btw, if anyone else is having this window issue you don't need a buddy or an extra pair of hands etc... to get your window going. I just popped the trim cover off behind the door handle, used a flat head an the force of a jolt to the driver by hand and the window regulator kicks back in when I hit the switch.
