I'm gonna look at other options like the Monster , McCloud , textrailia and see how close in weight and price they come. But looks like LS7/Fidanza/ACT Prolite is gonna be tough to beat.

It really has a nice feel to it.
First search I did looking for Fidanza aluminum flywheel and I found exactly what I was looking for! This is the setup I'm thinking of using.

Is there a difference between the Fidanza aluminum flywheel for the LS6 and LS7 clutches? My friend is selling me his Fidanza aluminum FW for $100 with only 5K miles on it. He used it for his 2400Lbs Datsun with a stock LS1. So I know it's not beaten on too hard. And I could service it if needed.

When I had a LS7 clutch with the Fidanza Aluminum flywheel installed, it became hard to shift at high rpm. I've been told that the LS7 clutch disk is heavy. So even though the overall weight of the whole assembly might be the same, you have to have a light disk for good shifting.

Makes sense... I've emailed monster to see if their level 2 will work with the fidanza FW. I'm hoping it is.

LS1 and LS7 flywheels are different. I actually found a aluminum Fidanza for a great price but it's for an LS1 so I'm considering which clutch to use now. Looking at F1 racing stg3, ACT, or maybe a Monster but can't find the clutch without their flywheel.

The seller said no. LS2 only don't ask me why.

Yeah... I remember hearing that you needed an LS2+ FW for an LS7 clutch. The Fidanaza I'm getting is LS1. So I'm hoping the Monster Level 2 works with it.

But I'm running into the same issue as you are, all the clutches seem to come with a flywheel. However, on Summit Racing's site, they do have clutches that don't come with the flywheel. But they also don't come with a lot of other stuff too.
