Check Engine Light Came On Last Night!
I was making a left turn down a fairly steep hill and bells started ringing, the DIC was flashing something about the traction control system and reduced power.... I barely made it out of the intersection and to the side of the road. Then the Check Engine Light came on. So I turned the car off, got out and opened the hood and checked to see if the engine was still there...good news it was! When I got back in and restarted the light was still on... but the engine was back to full power! Whew!!!
I pulled the codes this morning and cleared them...they all were "H"ed, drove all day and NO problems. On thursday I left the parking lights on while at work and KILLED the battery. Had to get a jump...battery has been fine since then but I am wondering if this event may have been a "side effect"??

Since your car is older (listed as "98" in your sig), I suggest you make sure no battery acid or air-conditioning condensation is leaking onto your computer.
Hope it doesn't happen again!

Justin... thanks that is the first thing I did yesterday morning after pulling the codes.
