Default Steering Rack

I need to remove my steering rack to get to the Harmonic Balancer. I had a print out of how to do this but now that I'm ready, I can't find it. Can someone tell mr how it's done or post a link ?

pop tie rod ends, disconnect steering shaft, lower cross member a half an inch, disconnect and plug the PS lines to the rack, loosen ps cooler loop from the cross member, disconnect the variable assist cable to the rack, remove the two rack mounting bolts, pull the rack out on the driver's side. You may need to rotate it on the way out for cross member clearance. Install in reverse, bleed the PS by turning steering left and right a few times. Google the torque specs for the fasteners.

That or rather google "how to remove C5 steering rack" for more thorough instructions. Some people seem to prefer passenger side.

If you're just changing out the balancer, you can just pull the rack towards the pass. side until it clears the pulley. No need to remove it.
