David, pm one of the many reputable forum sponsoring vendors such as Tony Mamo at AFR, England Greene, A&A and they can and will give some straight data as will many of the very savy gents lurking here on this forum.....but imop a cam only install is not where I would think you should start..........you wanna get air in and exhaust out first but that is my opinion.........good luck!!
I don't know what your plans for your car ultimately are, but generally it's a good idea to do LTs first, then a cam. If you want a nice power gain, but retain street manners, get a cam that's about 224-228@114 LSA, and about .575 lift. You must get upgraded valve springs with a cam but they're a good idea anyway, as is a new timing chain. There's lots of other stuff that's nice to do at the same time, but these are the only must-haves.

I would recommend going a little higher on the lift. I am running a 228/234 @ 112=4 LSA and a .588/.595 lift. It is a nice little cam, giving you great power throughout the power bands. Anything over .600 lift starts becoming a less friendly street CAM and may require head work or push rod length adjustments. I do have LTs and a CAI too. I am running stock heads, stock length push rods (I upgraded them also). With a good tune, I am able to drive with the AC on in stop and go traffic, with a car that shakes and sounds awesome; not to mention, gets up and moves quick when I hit the go-go pedal!

Go with the biggest you can so you don't end up feeling like you could have had more after doing the job.
228 112-114 .588ish is pretty much satisfying my wants in a cam performance wise and yet still lopes well enough people always look and give a thumbs up!
