Poll: Best LS Engine Builder/Tuner in TX
Why? Because I'm about to fork out 12 - 15k on a new motor and that's a lot of money where I come from. My criteria is quality first and value a close second. I enumerated only shops in TX I already knew about or was made aware of through this forum.
It's not scientific but it may help me decide which shop to use. My previous thread netted a few recommendations but they are all over the board.

Thanks for participating in the poll.

I purposely did not list machine shops. Several of the tuners in the poll use HKE.

If I'm not mistaken, ARD has built many bad *** Corvettes and Camaros. I believe they have won the LSX shootout as well. Owen has a 2010 Camaro putting out about 1000 rwhp on pump gas. I know for a fact he has built some less radical Camaros with LS3 and L99 with well over 600+ rwhp. When I start in on the engine mods on my vette, I'm handing the keys over to Owen.

Check out:
Henderson Performance in New Braunfels.
Lozanno Brothers in San Antonio
Lozanno may be out of your price range, but they make great motors.

I'd vote for any shop that has a good rep and uses HKE. Texas Speed is a 5 1/2 hr drive though.

I had all my work done at LG. I cannot overstate how good their customer service was.

Although the shop has only been open about a year, Reckart Performance Tuning is building a good reputation around central Texas. The owner, Brian, has the new Dynapack Dyno which bolts directly to the axle and takes the time to calibrate the MAF, VE, and timing tables.
He is well known by the area FBody and Corvette guys.
Check him out.

Poll edit?
I would add more shops to the poll if I could find a way to do it. Hate to start over with a new poll.
Any way to edit a poll?

Build it yourself. Get yourself a few TQ wrenches and some plastigage and call it a day. There is NO black magic to engine assembly.

I would narrow down your choices to the tuners who use HKE engines.

I've been thinking of taking mine to East Texas Muscle Car in Longview, Tx. They got some nice vette packages.

I would suggest posting this on LS1tech as well if you want a more rounded opinion, lol. Of course LG is going to be #1 on this site.

Erik Koenig of HKE is the best, but he is very busy b/c he is so good but his engines are worth the wait!!!
