2 Questions...Shift Knob, Brake Calipers.

2 Questions...Shift ****, Brake Calipers.
Question 1 - I tried to remove my shift **** to no avail the other day. I did everything that was said on the fourm. Vise Grips, wood block, prying, etc... I ended up breaking 1/2 the metal off of the "lock" (great word for it by the way!!) :mad Anyways, How the hell am I supposed to remove it now? Anyone got any ideas!?!?!?
Question 2 - I would like to paint my calipers. How do I preserve the Vette symbol? I heard mention of chapstick? How do I do it?

You will need to tap the lock out with a small punch and then pull with vise-grips... On the calipers... You paint them first completly and then take a drummel tool and sand off the paint on the raised letters... Forget about painting the letters... Good luck!
