Default Im Down To My Last DTC Code... Please help Me Kill It

Hello Everyone,

The last time I checked in I wanted to know some information on the trouble codes before I purchased my car. After a few months of cleaning ground connections and a "repaired" EBCM, Im still getting a constant C1296-H in the DTC.

Here is the info on the car:

2002 MN6 - 104,500 Miles

Before sending in the EBCM for repair I was getting the following:
- Service Active Handling
- Service Traction Control
- Service ABS

Since getting the module back, Im getting:
- Service Active Handling - the ONLY code I get is C1296 H

From all the research Ive done and from what I was told before courtesy of Mr. Bill Dearborn, here is what I have:

[B]Sensor is on BPMV. There could be a short to ground or a low 5V reference signal to the sensor. There could still be an issue with the sensor itself or the EBCM. If it is the EBCM ABS Fixer will probably not be able to fix this issue. Can't just replace a relay to fix this.

Bill
How can I get rid of this last code? I have the car for sale locally and would like to eliminate this problem if at all possible.

New unit as it is not repairable unfortunately check the cars being parted out in the parts section. One of the supporting bone yards should have one.

I'm assuming that you checked and/or cleaned all your grounds?

Have you checked with a meter to see if:: "Sensor is on BPMV. There could be a short to ground or a low 5V reference signal to the sensor."
courtesy of Mr. Bill Dearborn. I think someone recently fixed this problem and it was a bad connection.

Someone on this board sent me a pm a while back with the part number and he stated that they now make and sell that sensor separately. Check with Gene!

Thank you guys! Ive been searching and searching and from what I "thought" this part was impossible to come buy unless you purchased a used part. Today I got a chance to clean a few grounds, disconnect and reconnect all fuses, and unplugged/cleaned/and reseated connections within engine bay.

So far so good after a test run. I hit some curves, did some heavy breaking and even drove on a bumpy road... Cross my fingers but nothing yet.

We'll see how it goes, my luck the light will come right back on in my next start up.
everyone!
