Default Cam for 97 a-4

I'm in the market for a cam. I am looking for a functional but yet aggressive camshaft. I'm taking all options into consideration so let me know what your opinion is. I need something that will work under stock heads, and mainly for around town driving and Friday nights at the drag strip. (I do plan on a new stall and gears, just don't know what they will be until i chose a cam. Thanks

BTW, My goal is to run high 10's sometime within a year or two.

I'd select my gears and stall first, then choose a cam.

OK, for that setup, I'd recommend a custom grind around 227-235 @114+. I dont' know dick about A/Ts, or their gearing, so take my advice with a chunk of salt. IMO, the traditional LSA of 112, which will really lope well, won't be much fun with an auto, but with that stall, you may like it. Check out the cam threads over at ls1tech. There's alot of knowledge, and trans are more likely to be auto if raced.
