How do you launch C5's with a stick so far all i do is dump the clutch at 4000rpm without ASR and watch the rears smoke for frist and second with ASR on she just bogs down then goes both ways are no good

I would not launch at 4K without ET streets and then your clutch better be good. Learn to ease into it at 2000rpm and once your moving go wot gradually. Not at once unless you're into smoke shows and burnt clutches.
Don't slip too much either.
I launch @ 2800 and then when I know she's hooked up, go WOT through the gears. Power shifting can knock off 1/4-1/2 sec. of your 1/4 mile times as long as you do it right.

I've only been to the track once with the car, and that was my first time ever. I don't beat the car like that on the street. But I managed a best of 13.05 @ 109.52 that day.
After a few launches I got into a groove where I launched from ~1600 rpm. Any higher and I'd spin harder than I wanted to. I think it may have been partially the track conditions. No one was biting. But once I was out of the hole I redlined 1st and slammed 2nd as hard as I could. I did not powershift since I wanted my clutch to last a while. Once I was in 2 it was just a quick shift to 3.
I tried alternating between redlining 3rd and popping to 4th real quick by the traps. To be honest I don't remember which strategy netted the 13.0 because it was about 2 years ago now. I am tempted to say that I managed it at redline in 3rd but I won't say for sure.
I know some people that dump LS1s (in F-bodies) from 5 and run. If my rear end was that cheap and easy to replace or rebuild I wouldn't mind. But with a pricetage of about $2k for new pumpkin and shafts....... I'm not THAT interested in timeslips..... at least not with the Corvette. :D
with runflats I was launching between 1800 - 2000 rpms and letting the clutch out slow, steady but slow. The first time I tried dumping the clutch I fried the clutch  and that was about 3000 rpm's.
How do you guys smoke the tires????? I'm not the best driver but I have never been able to smoke my tires. Do you run up the RPM's to about 2K and then just let the clutch go and hold on?????
What's your 60s I'm getting killed with 2.3s 2.2s with N2O
I have found no good launch. Everyone talks about doing 2.0s but I don't see how.
BTW if I drop the clutch from a high RPM I get really bad wheel hop.

Try about 5,500 and dump the clutch..and hold it :D If you REALLY want a smoke fest do that and get on the brakes RIGHT AWAY and press them down hard enough that you dont move but not so hard that the engine bogs.
