finally fixed the wireing for the shocks and no codes!! took it out today and drove it for about 45 mins brought it home and let it set for about a couple of hours. went back out and got about 2 miles down the road and it started sputtering....then died. i pulled into a parking lot and tried to start again it would start and idle really rough below 600rpms then die when u give it gas. i was able to get it to go up in rpms once but the throttle response was lagging and then it died again...im stumped right now...any help?
Whip out your fuel pressure gauge (or get one, they're cheap) and get a fuel pressure reading both during the 2-second prime (key to RUN position) and while it's trying to idle.
I agree check fuel pump first if it's not reading enough pressure then change fuel filter and check it again. If it hasn't gotten any better...replace pump.
thanks guys took a reading and its only getting 10psi at the rail
fuel filter is about to go in. hope its that it and not the pump i really dont want to drain a full tank of gas for the 3rd time.
its just weird you can hear the pumps come on...hmmm
Wait....how about a little troubleshooting? Does the fuel pump run continuously when the engine is running? Have you tried jumpering the relay contact to verify that?

Third time? Already been in the fuel tank previously?
There have been knock-off copies of Walbro fuel pumps sneaking into the market. If you've installed an aftermarket pump what did you use and where did you get it?

i had a walbro from lingenfelter allready, i added a second walbro from slo boy racing.
i re-wired inside the tank to 12 gauage wire off the pumps to a 10guage.
im about to head over and check the relay and change the fuel filter.
found the problem, im waiting for my part to come in. what happened was the fuel line that was connected to the "y" fitting cam/broke off. so one pump was just spraying fuel and the other was pushing fuel out the hole with a little making it to the rail...lol
i would also like to add i had to drain 13 gallons of fuel. i saved most of it maybe lost a gallon or less
