Default Need add some freon

Just bought a new to me 98 c5 been looking everywhere for repair manual cant seem find one. I need to add some freon to my low side ac service port looks like it's on the passanger side near the fire wall with a black cap. I need know if this is the corect location. Tks

Do a search on the forum. Some have posted links to software that contains the entire manual.

Or, purchase a FSM in book form.

If you use a GUAGE, you'll know the low pressure side. Most refill kits will only connect to the low side, the 2 ports are different sizes.

it should only fit the low side if its a R-134a refill tool/gauge

yes, the one by the battery. the high side is near the condenser.

Before you do the wrong thing, you can purchase a COMPLETE set of factory manuals from Gene Culley www.gmpartshouse.com

The AC line pressures are critical. You should also consider adding the correct oil charge before you add freon.

If your A/C is low on gas,there's a leak somewhere,which really should be found and repaired,unless you just plan on adding freon every so often...

If you have a leak, the super sealer will work. The evaporators are terrible to access on these cars.
