Ok I'm hearing a lot about my 60s are awful. I'm getting 2.3s with no N2o and 2.2s hitting the N2O a little

Everyone says I should be seeing 2.0 with a stock car?

Could those of you with 6sp, stock tires, and pretty much stock engines tell me what you are seeing for your 60s. Please no BS.......

You have to practice on not spinning the tires with a 6 speed. The A4 guys have it made when it comes to 60' times. Good luck. Mike

In my sig.

What are you launching at and how are you staging?

If you shallow stage you can get a slightly better 60' and reaction times by leaving a hair earlier than deep staging.

2.12 is my best so far. I hope to get it down some with some more practice.

Scott97,
That 1.8x 60ft was on stock tires? That's awsome. How did you launch, what was your technique, tire pressure, etc? TIA - Max

If you shallow stage you can get a slightly better 60' and reaction times by leaving a hair earlier than deep staging.
I record my acceleration times with an AP-22 data acquisition unit. When I study the data dumps, you can see that the first 1 FOOT takes .25 - .4 of a second. Yes, you read that correctly. I did a little research and this number does not see out of the ordinary.

You can see how shallow staging can help your 60' times. If you take advantage of the 10"-12" inches of rollout, you can dramatically cut your times in comparison to a very deep stage. You can effectively get a few inches of rolling start.

You wont see "much better" than 2.0x with runflats, stock engine and a 6 speed.

I achieved 2.07 60 foot bone stock on a 2000 C5 6speed.

I just have a Vortex and PRT exhaust. On the stock runflats (and only the first couple of times I ever drag raced in my live - I'm 49 years old) I got a best 2.04 (most were closer to 2.1)

With more experience and wider Pilot Sports, I got down to 2.001 and 2.010 last time out. Buy the way, my experience is that if the Runflats are under 10,000 miles, they are not as bad as everyone makes them out to be with fairly stock rwhp.

I've gotten mine down to 1.60-1.62 on the N/A using E/T Streets. None yet on the gas. A Drag radial is an excellent alternative.

Oops, just saw you wanted stock guys on street tires.

My best is right at 2.00x--I'm usually in the 2.0xx area, w/ an occasional 2.1

Make sure traction control is off of course, at stage spin the tires just enough to get any debris off of them (really hot, smoky burnouts are a waste of time and money with funflats, since they don't get much more sticky--just clean them off :yesnod: )
and find that sweet spot where you're spinning but still pulling well out of the hole-- (I generally launch at around 2000RPM quickly easing into, but not dumping, the clutch, and try to give it 5/6 throttle, flooring right when she begins to hook up--don't floor the gas off the line and expect to go anywhere with RF's--they won't grab and you'll lose time)...you'll get the hang of it, just keep practicing
