I have the Corsa exhaust and I have noticed that the “inner” pipes, 2nd and 3rd pipe from the left or right, handle most of the exhaust gases during idle. For this reason, when the operator asked me to connect the tube to the exhaust pipe, he didn’t want to scratch them – nice guy, I connected it to only one of the “outer” pipes. I had fill up an almost empty tank with Sunoco 94 gas. I had cleaned and polished the exhaust tips both in and out.
Before going to the test center, I had gone for an easy 30-minute ride, no WOT/no hard accelerations, and the oil temp was about 200. I left the engine running while his was strapping the car on the test machine. During the test, the operator had to follow a MPH graph. My car didn’t need WOT and stayed on third and forth gear during most of the test, even during the acceleration to 65 MPH. (The car before me had to be floored at that portion of the test).
I attribute my low emissions to the above procedure. I hope this help and please be gentle with me if I’m totally wrong. :)

The main reason was I was worried was that the car needs tuning. I had observed smoke coming out of the exhaust during a shift change at the last dyno. In addition, the day I took the car for tuning, it was hot and the tuner didn’t finish. I think the car is not running, as it should now.
The car has the following (in no particular order): Coolant bypass, NGK TR55, MAT sensor relocation, MSD ignition wires, 172/178 thermostat, Goodridge SS breadlines, Upgraded MAF housing, ProFlow+, Corsa X-Pipe, Corsa Indy and TPIS long tube headers.

I went to a tiny shop in Brooklyn, close to my house. I neglected the inspection and I was running out of options. My father in law had some problems with his Volvo and was not able to get them resolved until he found this shop. He described the owner/mechanic as knowledgeable and well mannered so I went and had a talk with him. I explained that I’m paranoid with the car. I did the parking to the safety inspection bay and to the inspection machine bay. He got in the car only to run the test when the car was strapped on the inspection dyno. He took his time and because I was worried, he showed me the lift points and then asked for the car manual and showed me the lift point in it to ease my mind. To tell you the truth, for $35, I would not go into all that trouble, especially when he had three cars waiting after me and all the bays had cars been repaired.
The owner is kind of strict, he asked me to put my front plate on. Also, his three lifts didn’t have long enough arms to reach the Corvettes lift points and although he looked under the car and verified that everything was ok, the law required him to take one wheel off. He was not going to finish the inspection, no charge. He understood that I was unhappy and went around the shop until he found a small floor jack and lifted the front left tire.
If you still want his address, I’ll email it to you. I’m going to look for a shop in Long Island for next time (many Corvettes there). Also, I’ll try not leave the inspection until the last possible moment.
