Default AC tensioner

I want to replace the idler pulley. What is the trick to get to the tensioner with the 2 metal tubes in the way? 2002 coupe.

Thanks

They can be moved out of the way without damaging them?

You don't need to move anything. Just reach in from the top with a short 15mm 3/8" socket on a ratchet and take it off. It requires a little "feeling" to get the new one back on but overall it's a fairly simple thing to change. Just let it hang down while you start the bolt and once you have the bolt part way in then rotate the tensioner up and catch the tab into the notch before you finish tightening it.

I think getting the damn belt back on is harder than changing the tensioner.
