Okay, this must seem a little odd, but it was a fluke that the first time I ever looked at the C1 C2 section I picked a post to look at that really inspires me as I get older (I'm 49 now).
I just think this post will make a lot of us smile and feel good about "what we do" as a hobby. Show this to your wives - it might make her feel a little better about putting up with us and our hobby.
Moderators, I hope you won't move this. I'm only showing it here because this is where my "friends" hang out, and I think they will appreciate it. And it is sort of technical. Thanks

Thanks for bringing this thread to our attention.(I would have never seen it otherwise). That thread just goes to show you that your never too old to enjoy what you love. I hope I'm still that active and involved in cars when I'm that age. I'm also impressed that he's laying down 500 rwhp.

Along the same lines, I had a neighbor (85) who passed away several years ago (I think he was 94 when he died) that restored, rode, and showed Indian motorcycles. I had the opportunity (1977) to buy one of his "Chiefs" with a sidecar for 10K. BTW, this was a show winner and he had the trophys to prove it. Being newly married and flat broke, I had no way to come up with the funds at that time. Only if.........
I know Old Joe is riding his Indian in Hog heaven now.

In it's simplest and purest form this is what it's about. We should all thank him for reminding us what Corvette's are about and be glad to have him our ranks.
While some of us argue over which polish, intake or exhaust is better he somehow "got it". With age comes wisdom?
