I changed mine 6 months ago. I have 20K miles on the car, and its 7 yrs old. I just figured it was time to change this stuff. I wanted to learn how to do it myself too. I feel better knowing that all my fluids are new (Coolant,Diff, Tranny,Brake fluid, Clutch fluid etc..)
I changed mine at 78,000 miles, ten years. The old oil was dirty.
Easy to do.
I use Redline in the engine, trans (auto) and differential.
For more on Redline, there is a comprehensive article regarding oils and flat tappet cam failures at corvetteactioncenter.com under the Featured Article heading you will find More Articles and "Engine Oil Deep Dive".
