Headlight Problem
The other day, I pulled out of my garage, and of course my headlights popped up. As I sat in the sun waiting for my wife, the lights closed, and I heard this awful noise, like a griding chatter. Opening the hood I turned the lights on and no noise, but when turning them off, the same noise. The motor on the drivers headlight keeps turning for about 5 seconds after the light is down, and makes the awful noise. Do you think it might be the headlight control unit? Any suggestions? By the way its a 2000 C5.

Your gears for your headlight is stripped. Upgrade to brass

Yea, I dropped a wrench down below the battery as I was removing the negative side! Fished it out with a retractable magnet. It's always the simple stuff that causes the most headaches!
