Help with trans cooler
Thanks,
JR
You should be able to get these at local parts stores.

I mounted mine on the front of the A/C condenser. pull it up and away from radiator and swing it out a bit, that should give you enough room to carefully push nylon bolts through condenser and then through cooler putting rubber spacers in between. There are mounting brackets available but I used nylon bolts.
The top line coming out of the radiator cooler is the return line going back to tranny. I have mine set up to go through radiator cooler first then external cooler and back to tranny.
Unscrew factory fitting going into radiator (top one) Screw fittings from kit in radiator and fitting in metal line. Run hoses in kit from metal line to external cooler, then from rad to cooler. be sure not to pinch lines when you run them, the straighter the lines are the better.
Hope this helps , good luck
Thanks,
JR
Its pretty simple, here's how I did mine:
1) Mount cooler to bottom/center of air conditioner condenser, attach with supplied mounting straps to condenser (not through to radiator in case you want to remove the radiator).
2) Mount with cooler inlet tubes facing up. You can mount in either this position or sideways. If you mount up you can pre-fill the cooler with trans fluid. I mounted mine with inlets facing up.
3)Top transmission line attached to radiator is return line.
a) Remove radiator return line.
b) Insert supplied male pipe fitting (with barbed end) into radiator.
c) Run hose from radiator to transmission cooler (either inlet if mounted in upright position or top inlet if mounted sideways).
d) Run hose from "exit" inlet on trans cooler to aluminum line you removed. Use the supplied female fitting (with barbed end).
*Hose routing
I routed the hose via the top right corner of radiator.
*before you connect the hose to the aluminum transmission line fill the cooler with fluid through this line. It probably won't take much more than a half a quart. You can probably do this with a funnel and gravity but I used a cheap fluid pump I picked up at the parts store.
Hope this helps.
I have 4 fittings, none of which will screw into my radiator, they're all too small. I'll post pics of them and take measurements when I get home from work tonight.

My kit came with everything I needed to install the cooler. Yeah, post pics of what you have.

These will work assuming you have rubber lines in your kit.

Has anyone else had to special order fittings for 70264?
If you guys could find some fittings that you don't need, that would be awesome! I'd be so grateful! Just let me know if y'all have any extra fittings, or anymore advice!
Thanks so much,
JR

If those don't work I have the fitting that goes into the radiator but I must have thrown out the other. PM me your address and I can send it out if you'd like.
I've also never heard of any problems with rubber lines.
I ran them from the connections located by the flywheel (look at the connector in the photo.)
BTW - YES, rubber can come off. One of the post I read when researching was from a member who had a line blow off and he lost his fluid. IF it does, you will be stranded, and I personally, want no part of that.

Here's a pic of my set up:

Now here's my problem, my transmission is still getting hot as ****. It's been 100+ degrees here in Dallas for 29 days in a row. My trans just reached a new high of 253 degrees. Do I need a bigger cooler. I have the B&M supercooled 70264 and a 3800 yank stall.
