What are your goals for the engine/HP?

I would suggest LGs Super Pros or Streets based on your answer.

http://www.shop.jwmotoring.com/categ...?categoryId=12

Lifetime warranty with these too

Straight from Anthony @ LG

Street Series are going to cover most bases. These headers will support over 450 rwhp and are designed for the bolt on to mild cam'd Corvette. Super Pro's should be looked at for anyone wanting to build a car over 500 RWHP. size.

Do any headers for a C-5 have a California C.A.R.B. EO number?

LG's are good, they will fade in color and the clamps suck. American Racing is good, has a flange after the long tubes, some people prefer the slip over systems over a flange. Personally I like the Melrose Smooth Flow headers, they come ceramic coated and have a higher quality cats (random tech) and clamps (band style).

Love my Lg super pros I had them installed the day after they came in. They actually were easier to fit in there than the factory manifolds somehow. Only complaint I have is I am having trouble getting the exhaust to stop leaking where it clamps together, Im pretty sure I can get it fixed tomorrow if I get it up on the lift. One thing that I saw a lot of people were having trouble with everything lining up due to the slip fit but it actually keeps my exhaust tips lined up now, used to be whenever I would nail the throttle they would move and be angled.
BTW JW has the best price on Lg's around that I could find.

30 to 40 Hp gains at the wheels sounds a little optimistic with just headers, not impossible just not very likely from what I have seen on here.

Thanks for the mention

A heat cycle or two and a little tightening should fix you up. It worked for me

Some of the shortys do. I've never seen any long tubes with the CARB numbers.

No...not long tubes anyways. It's not legal to move the position of the factory converters, which LT's will do. Only shorties like B&B, JBA, and BBK carry CARB EO#'s. They make some HP coupled with a good CAI and a tune, but not as much HP as the LT's, and nowhere near the TQ gains either. I run a Callaway Honker, with B&B shorties, bassani x-pipe, Shaner TB, and a CMS dyno tune...I'm very happy with my power gains.

Yea Ive had them on for a few weeks now and its been up in the air at least two times prior to today. I am honestly a little scared that I might break my ratchet from cranking on the clamps so hard, they are less than a 1/4 inch from bottoming out. I do think I have fixed one or two leaks today though, I will probably take it off the lift tomorrow as it is just miserable working in the garage even with a 1000+ CFM fan 5 feet away from me. Even with these leaks that I have I still dont have any regrets with my purchase.

+2 When installed in conjunction with a good CAI and a professional tune, 25-30 rwhp total is more realistic.

I have LG Streets and I too was having exhaust leaks. The clamps that were supplied with the headers wouldn't solve the issue so I bought Torctite clamps. I purchased 2x3" and 4x2.5" and it has solved the issue. The only trouble with these clamps is on one of the primaries you have to do a little "custom work" because of where the O2 sensor is. I also tightened them down to 37lb ft.
I hope that helps some.

Yea I have been looking at the torctite clamps as the supplied clamps arent working too well. Do you still have to use two wrenches for the torctite clamps on is one side fixed because that is my biggest problem with getting them tight. If they were like the ones that came with my slp catback then I dont think I would have a problem, Im just really dont want to spend another 100$ just for clamps as I would need 6 3 in clamps.
