Default Service column lock problem

I did check the forum but didnt really find out what to do... All started with having my passenger floor flooded resulting in the bcm getting fried. Ordered a new one,put i in and went through the ignition on and off routine, and i was as happy as a pig in %¤/#... everything started working in the car again, and then trying to get it out from the shop it just died... I get the "service steering...... " message but that didnt happen with the old BCM. The steering wheel moves just fine but when trying to move the car just shuts down.... Any ideas how to fix this??? Migh't ad it's a 2000 automatic conv...

Wohoo... Well Sir I owe you, I was so sure that it had something to do with the bcm since this started after that was replaced.Started reading the threads but I guess I didnt read them good enough. Couldnt find the harness K but the relays i found,i have three of them, took them apart and dried/cleaned them when we first started to try to find out what happened, guess i should have tested the function as well... the one with 2 orange 1 white 1 green but no purple was busted, quick trip to the store and car is running perfect! Now i just have to figure out why my airbag warning light wont come of.... Again, thanks for your help.
