All I did was spin the right rear (loose gravel on the on-ramp). No error messages at the time. Stopped and parked the car for a quick grocery run, and when I came back and started again, I had STC/SABS messages in the DIC. Turned it off and back on, but errors persisted. Got home and came in the house and read this thread, then went back out to the garage and tried it again. Messages gone. Never underestimate the power of the Internet I am of course, still mystified but pleased at the moment.
DITTO
except it was my left rear tire slip ... went in the house to get code info, came out, codes gone (actually codes went into (H) history mode) ...
Check G105 ground. Under the block drivers side. This is a critical ground for all kinds of problems.

The EBTCM or EBCM what ever it was called for the year car you have has its ground at G108 which is co-located with G104 under the battery. G103 (located on the driver's side frame rail near the alternator) is the ground for the BPMV motor circuit which passes through the relay in the EBCM but doesn't provide any ground for the EBCM electronics.
Had C1243 constantly for the past two weeks (ABS motor failure/seized/tired...); would clear the code and it came back immediately. Fearing a replacement/rebuild of the motor, I cleaned/sanded/replaced the G103 grounds and drove around for a bit. Parked and came back to the car after 10 minutes, started it, and so far, no codes. However, I noticed some 'peculiarities' while sitting in the car clearing the codes from earlier.
After clearing the code, the car would retest the BMPV circuit, drawing the volts down considerably (2+volts). I could not hear the pump circulating at all. Right away the code would return. I fear my BMPV is seized, or nearly so. So; I ask, could someone provide pictures of the location of the #8 power plug/relay? The one that other DIY'ers have plugged a hot lead into to exercise the BMPV motor? I'ts a 2001 C5 coupe, with the assembly up front under the alternator and in front of the PS pump. I'm hesitant to start tearing things apart without a game plan, and electronic schematics may as well be written in hieroglyphs for all the good they do me. But, like any good 6-year old, I can understand pictures!

Thanks in advance. Bill Curlee, please chime in!
There's a posting here somewhere how to exercise the pump pwith a jumper wire to free it up. Try searching for it here or on Google, it does a better job on indexing keywords than the forum software does.
thanks Doug, I saw that one while doing my research. It's a 98, i've got a 2001. I'm assuming the procedure is the same for both years, but again, I don't want to crack open the casing and ruin the seal just to find out the two BMPV's are different, y'know? I'm hoping someone who's actually done this on a 01-04 will post up.
Just got this cleared after I shut it off and restarted it's a 2003 32000 miles weekend cruiser sits all week any thoughts out there ? I'm new to the vet Te thing Barley guy longer thanks
None of those codes point to a wheel speed sensor. This is what gave you the service message:
C1243 BPMV Pump Motor Stalled
C1255 EBTCM Internal Malfunction
Clear them and hope you don't see them again. If they keep coming back it could get expensive.
