What happened? Yesterday we went for a cruise for the day. When i started my car after dinner last night to come home i got this message. Drove home with the message then shut my car off and it cleared. Drove it this morning and it is still cleared. Am i good at this point or is something wrong? Thanks for any info.

To clarify, i got the "service abs and service traction control" indicators last night for the first time but not coming on today. Is this normal? Why might it have happened? Thanks for input.

abs wheel speed sensors will clear themselves after a ignition cycle if the abs module sees that everything is sending its signal and all is okay, intermittent codes like that can be coming up for several reasons, ie possible wheel bearing issues just starting to happen, corroded connections, water if it has been raining in your area interfering with the sensor signal. check all the codes and evaluate what is actually happeneing, usually your traction control and active handling lights and code are set due to some abs wheel speed sensor issues.

None of those codes point to a wheel speed sensor. This is what gave you the service message:
C1243 BPMV Pump Motor Stalled
C1255 EBTCM Internal Malfunction
Clear them and hope you don't see them again. If they keep coming back it could get expensive.

Not what I'm wanting to hear. Is there a chance that all is okay and taken care of? Anyone had any experience with a situation like this?

There's always a chance-that's why you CLEAR them all and monitor the situation-if those codes return, it NOT a good sign. Many have had the same issues, hardly a week goes by without an ABS/TC thread.

Yes. It came to about $2500.
I have reason to believe, based on what I have read, that one of the difficulties involves the relays in the EBTCM failing because of lack of use. This is because the vast majority of Corvettes are simply never driven to the point where the ABS system gets regularly used. Some people have found that taking the car out onto a road where you can SAFELY do a hard stop that cycles the ABS several times will clear the problem. You may need to do this regularly.
At some point, the problem gets worse until it is solidly on--and then it is time to spend money, gobs of it.
The 2001-2004 EBTCM can apparently be rebuilt for about $500 I understand, and replacing it is not hopelessly difficult. But the 2000 and before? No way.
What is the "maf"??? Are there threads here on cleaning the maf and the throttle body?
Mass Air Flow (MAF) it determines how much air is entering the engine by MASS so the rest of the system knows how much fuel and spark are going to be required.
All I did was spin the right rear (loose gravel on the on-ramp). No error messages at the time. Stopped and parked the car for a quick grocery run, and when I came back and started again, I had STC/SABS messages in the DIC. Turned it off and back on, but errors persisted. Got home and came in the house and read this thread, then went back out to the garage and tried it again. Messages gone. Never underestimate the power of the Internet I am of course, still mystified but pleased at the moment.
I would start by getting the EBCM rebuilt. Also, clean the grounds behind the headlights. I just went through this. Bad grounds, 1 bad wheel sensor, and probably a bad steering angle sensor, but it hasn't resurfaced yet. There's a guy on ebay that rebuilds them for $50. I was looking into it when I had problems, but turned out to actually be the wheel sensor. http://www.ebay.com/itm/320790088250...S:1123&vxp=mtr
My ABS and Traction control service lights come whenever I hit a rough bump or hole in the road. Do you think this is probably just the wheel ABS sensors? Because when I turn the ignition off and then back on, the code will not appear until another rough spot does.
Honestly It's not enough into to tell, but sure it could be. Try pulling the harnesses to the wheel sensors, cleaning the pins if necessary, and retensioning the female portion to make better contact. You can also put a meter on the EBCM connector to read the resistance and have a friend wiggle and manipulate the connector to see if you have intermittency.

Pull the codes on the car using the DIC and post them if any...kinda sounds like a grounding issue though. The codes would narrow it down to wheel sensor or steering sensor or EBCM
