Hey guys, this is my first post and I was wondering if I can get some help.
I live in Brazil and I have a Corvette C5 1998 automatic (convertible) and it's a great car. The thing is that, lately, I'm having some problems with my gearbox. Every time I accelerate a little bit more the transmission starts to fail. What I mean by "fail" is that the car only works in first and second gear. If you put in third gear it's just like when the transmission is on neutral. At first I was having a temperature problem with my transmission (by that time, the "check gauges" light jumped on my panel and also a warning "high transmission temperature" - but now nothing happens, the transmission just stopped working well) but I've installed the Hipertech software and now the temperature it's OK. I've no idea what it's happening because I take good care of my Corvette and once the gearbox stops working like it should the only way to get the car back to normal it's by taking it to the mechanical but he's not having luck with the car.
Would you guys know something that could help me with this problem?
