I really hate this traction control system and I dislike having to turn it off each and every time that I start my car. I do not have the Active Handling Package and that is the only thread that I found that told how to disable it. I cannot find anything in the HPTuners software either.
Please don't tell me that I have to just keep pushing that stupid button.
You might want to get a specialty shop to do it. I had mine "disabled" by a reputable shop in Houston who specialize in Vettes but be prepared for the constant dash reminders and quickly forget about it when you hit it.
Its a plus/negative situation in my eyes but its your car, drive it and mod it the way YOU want to.
Good luck.
A helpful hint for you 8VETTE7. They do offer adult reading comprehension courses at your local community college. You should consider enrolling. It might help you lose that image of being a jerk.

I installed a module that hooks up to the BCM for @50 that keeps the traction control off without having to push the button each time.I had to go out to the car to see who makes it. www.kptechnologies.com It was easy to hook up and works like a charm. Email me at rwill 10590@verizon.net if you have any further questions or problems securing this device. Good luck!!!! kh400
There are options. I've never seen the one that kh400 posted, but if it works, it is the least expensive one out there. I have the ATI TracMem, which will leave the TC/AH in whatever mode I last left it. I do have to hit the DIC reset after turning the car on to clear the message if in OFF or COMP mode. The Laptrax Deluxe unit(discontinued) did the same thing, and reset the DIC after a bit.
I pulled the fuse out under the hood and took the bulb out in the gauge cluster so I didn't have to see the ABS light on.But I still get service engine soon,And still have to hit the reset button.
Thanks guys! It appears that there is no on-board method to shut this function off. Too bad.
I have seen the results of people who don't know how to drive when they buy something beyond their capabilities and I can see why Bowling Green chose this route.
I once sold a '69 440 4spd Roadrunner to a kid who wrapped it around a tree not a week later. I truly regretted selling my car in the first place. Then to have the kid die merely because he had more money than brains has haunted me ever since.
