This mod never worked for me, ended up going back to the stock rear calipers. Couldn't get the exact fitment I wanted.

If your running front calipers on the rear then use front pads. I also take an old pad and remove the brake material from the backing plate. Then I weld it to the new pad that goes on the piston side of the caliper. Ive had no issues with pads falling out when they get worn or any other type problems.

I'm running stock ceramic front pads in my setup.

ok got it. So front pads with rear z51 rotor. What's the deal with the rear brake line being to short?

When I put to together years ago the stock lines appeared to be too close for comfort and since I was changing everything replacing lines just made sense to make sure there was enough clearance. Stock lines may work I just don't know.

I just did this mod. C6Z51 front brackets milled down 6mm, C6Z51 rear rotors, stainless line kit made by Doug Rippie Motorsports (top notch lines) and DTC70 pads. I put C6Z calipers in the front with DTC60 pads and makes for an epic stopping combo. Going to laser some stainless pad shims when pads get low to take up the thinner rear rotor.
