If anyone has a stock open-ended lug from when it was removed and your OEM locks were installed... If you could measure the amount of thread on that stock lug nut, I'd appreciate!!
My ruler is calibrated in mm, but here's some numbers:
OAL of stock lug nut, top to bottom: 26mm
Outside threaded area: approx 9mm long
Bottom of outside "cone" to top of outside threads: approx 14.5 mm
Inside threads look like they stop at the same point, so bottom of cone to top of inside threads also approx 14.5mm
When installed on the car, these nuts are about 1mm longer than the studs on the FRONT wheels.
On the REAR wheels, the studs stick out through the nuts by about 1mm
Thanks. We decided we'll measure using the open ended lugs. We'll use open ended lugs as a guide and saw off any excess length on the racing stud after I take off the spacers. Depends how the Fikse pad height comes out vs. stock also. Then we'll use a McGard or Gorilla style lug over the chopped race stud.
Hope we find some blades that can cut these hardened 190kpsi studs, LOL!
