So, the clunk in my steering column has been diagnosed as needing a new I-shaft or Intershaft. Personally, I'm thinking maybe the joints just need tightening...but of course the dealer says otherwise. Anyone have any experience with this? And, how would I tighten the upper part (the lower part is exposed fairly well; the upper end is under the brake booster, I think).

They put in the correct number. I think there's still a clunk, though. Just picked it up tonight. Well, left $500 there, but got my car back.
