a/c comp. noise
2000 C5 has noise in A/C compressor. Does not make noise when A/C is off. Has clicking noise coming out of compressor when A/C is running. Does not match the RPM speed. Just random ticking noise but loud enough to hear over the engine, Any ideas? Is the compressor on the way out. The A/C still works. Help??

I had a sort of clattering type sound coming from my compressor years ago. It wasn't there when it was off yet the AC worked great...noise and all when it was running. It was a bad compressor even though it was working.
