Any oil that complies with the manufacturers specifications is fine for your motor. I'll continue to use MOBIL 1 oil/filter in my car.
ROYAL PURPLE looks a lot like KOOL-AID to me...

and on the original post.... I used to use AMSOIL but it's expensive to buy since I have to pay shipping on it. So I went back to Mobile 1, it's always on sale or I can get it at a good price at my local Sam's club.

It's your car, use whatever you want. I learned quick after joining this forum that you should never post discussions about Religion, Politics or What kind of oil is best, they usually go south real quick.

The only thing one needs to know is if the oil meets the GM4718 spec.
Other than that buy a brand you trust.
Personally I have not been able to justify spending more on a boutique motor oil.
I run Quaker State HorsePower 5W30 in my Vettes.
