Dyno, ring surgery, and speeding ticket (3 for 1 special)
I'll have to wait until my scanner is working to post the graphs. I was shocked because the car only turned 250 RWHP in 2nd :eek: . . . we figured this was tire slippage over the drums. In fourth gear, it turned 305 RWHP, stock LS1 with only a K&N and home-grown cut top air cleaner. :cheers: Clayton chassis dyno, 80 degrees, 90% humidity. :D I wonder what this would turn on a nice fall evening with 50 degree weather and 20% humidity!! :D
For those looking for a chassis Dyno in Jacksonville, FL I could only find this one: Northside Dyno Tune on Lem Turner Ave. The owner, Keith Thompson seemed very knowledgeable and willing to turn a few runs (we ran the car 3 times in 2nd, three in 3rd, and three in 4th, in different modes to try to get reasonable times. We noticed a lot of notching at the peak of 305 hp...think that it could be do to spark knock. We'll see because.... :rolleyes:
Car is in shop, engine is coming out, and new rings going in, possibly pistons for the piston slap. I hope she comes out o.k. (And she better dyno just as strong when she's out!)
Speeding ticket: 67 in a 45 ouch!! "Any lawful reason, sir, that you were over the posted speedlimit?" Yeah! :mad Apparently I don't pay enough in taxes already. :)
