Please Help
I have a 2000 corvette. Sometimes when I go to start the car it will just spin over and not start. Sometimes it takes about 3 times trying to start the car to get it to start. Sometimes it starts on the first time? I turn the key on and let the fuel pump cycle and it does correctly. Once the car starts it never messes up at all. Runs perfect. Any ideas what it could be. I called the dealership and they told me the fuel filter was $134.00. Is there something special about this filter, could that be my problem?

On a 2000, the fuel filter and pressure regulator, are one assembly. Yes, it is one possibility. Install a pressure gauge at the rail, and check pressure/bleed down.
Also, post your codes.

No codes. Havnt checked the fuel pressure. Do u think it could be the fuelmpressure since the car runs perfect after it starts?

What should the pressure be while starting the car or during the starting cycle?

Check the fuel pressure with a gauge. Key on (not started) 55-61 psi. Pressure should hold, not drop off sharply.

What should the pressure be during the start cycle, and while turning the car over?

Ok man thanks for the help. So if it's low should I change the pump of filer assembly?

On a 2000, the pump and filter/regulator, are two separate assemblies. First you have to determine what you have, before you can take the next step.

Ok.... Well since the pump, and the regulator/filter are two different parts, if the fuel pressure drops off or is low, which should I change first?

I can guide you, but I'm not a "parts changer". I prefer isolation and troubleshooting. If the pressure drops off, it could be a few things:
1) Regulator
2) Pump check valve
3) Leaky injector
If the pressure holds, but is low :
1) Filter/regulator
2) Pump
