Default Borla Exhaust

Hi all. I am putting Borla Stinger Quad 4 exhaust on my 2001. I am trying to figure if I want to get the Borla crossover pipe, as well. Can anyone let me know if the crossover pipe will make any difference to performance and/or sound versus just the Stinger exhaust? Thanks.

I say yes you need it to smooth out the sound and rid yourself of the popping on decel.

Awesome; Thanks all. Seems as though the car has to be on a lift to be able to remove the old muffler sections? Also, old pipes will need to be cut a bit past the cats to install the cross over pipes?

Default Yes you need a lift and the pipes do need to be cut

I recently installed a Borla XR1 system. I have a great friend who I send people to for their repairs and in return when I need help or a bay with a lift,I got it. I have a post about it on this fourm. You need a lift because the back half of the system has to be dropped almost stright down. You will also have to cut the pipes. The pics are my install but yours looks like it will be very simmilar. If you have any other questions let me know.

Just what does the x pipe do to smooth out popping? If have a dual tip Borla stinger exhaust and haven't noticed any popping.

Thanks
