We meet again .... The flip side to that is the v3 is the revised version of the torque series cam. Earlier closing event mean more bottom end grunt. And your basically running the same spring with either cam.....so why not go bigger.

Thanks...

I just like a more conservative approach I guess.... Also, I dont run double springs with my V2. I use single bee hives. I also think, for his heads, the V2 would be better served.

JESUS, still running the ls6 springs. It amazes me how many people use the stock springs. It only take a few hours to do springs and its WELL worth it. I have broken 2 stock valve springs with the stock Ls6 cam. I am now running the TREX Cam by thunder racing and make 460wrhp with 28* of timing with a A/F in the 12.4-12.5 range on my all motor tune.

10+ year old cam.............

This is with the stock LS6 heads/intake.

This guy is selling a head cam package for $1000. Not bad at all. The heads are stock z06 ls6 heads w upgraded valve springs rated for .625. The head gasket set and bolts n pushrods and LS2 timing chain and Underdrive pulley. Not sure what the cam brand is but specs are 236/242 .580/.590. What do yall think about the camshaft? O yea everything is new but the heads.

I would jump on it. Get the heads ported and milled for that cam and you will easily make 460+ with simple bolt ons.

The deal sounds good but.....that cam is on the bigger side. That being said whats the gasket thikness ?? You will deffinently need to check PTV. My money is on flycutting....

The guy who "ran" this combo should have info for you. Are the springs new ?? A cam that size will give those springs a good workout. If they are not new then I would have the seat pressure checked for sure. Have the heads been milled or touched in anyway ??

Just be carefull and make sure to ask plenty of questions to the seller. I don't have the Comp catalog in front of me but I would want to know what lobes we were dealing with.

Thanks.....also what centerline was the cam ground on ?? Is this a custom grind or a shelf cam ??
