It would be cool if you posted some rwhp numbers after your tune. I'm very interested in the outcome seeing as i'm going the same route as you.

The V3 will take better advantage of ported heads should you decide to add them down the road.

Here is a video of my TSP v3 at idle.

http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/706/q2et.mp4/

Cam specs are;

(LSK) INT. 231@.050 (XER) EXH. 234@.050
Lift INT.644 w/1.7 EXH.598 w/1.7
@.050=INT. 6 BTDC 44 ABDC
@.050=EXH. 50 BBDC 4 ATDC
@ 109 ICL
111 LS

The Torquer V3 camshaft features a more aggressive intake lobe that requires a good double valve spring kit. For customers looking for a quality double valve spring kit, we recommend the PRC .650" & .675" double spring kits. Both spring packages will easily handle this camshaft. The new more aggressive intake lobes & small changes to the camshaft design has allowed us to create more peak power while bringing power in earlier than the Torquer V2. With the Torquer V3 camshaft we typically recommend the customer have atleast a 3000 rpm stall converter for automatic cars. Tuning will also be required in both automatic & manual applications. Texas Speed offers complete mail order tuning services to get your vehicles pcm custom tuned for your modifications.

I ran the PRC .675 springs with a Ti retainer and stock rockers w/ a trunnion upgrade with zero problems. Iirc, 7.425 push rods also but you will have to check your personal setup. With typical bolt-ons and a competent tuner you could expect 430/400 numbers (through a 6 speed).

Thanks....... FYI, its for sale in the C5 section .

New springs and push rods,
New timing chain
This is the cam I'm leaning towards and may have to do it before the headers, will it still up the performance considering the exhaust I may have to do later? It's a 2001 6 spd and a 3:73 diff is also on the wish list...possibly a Vararam too.

I recently had a texas-speed Tsunami cam installed in my 2002 Z its slightly bigger than the torquer v3. I'll post a video of the car running when I get a chance. I went with texas-speeds camshaft package with the aggressive double value spring kit. The car ended up making 420wrhp on a vary conservative tune. The drivabilaty isnt to bad the in between gears she bucks alittle besides that its fine. Car sounds and runs amazing though, big cams are all about the tune for driveabilaty

Yes any heads from the LS1/6 family will work i.e......799's 853's 241's 243's. 243's aka LS6 heads were the best flowing out of all of them.

thats before I installed the B&B bullets its alot louder now and it also on a 1000 rpm idle so it will run smoother. I can Idle in 100% heat with the A/C on with no problems and a big part of the is the tune from East-coast corvettes. If I could drop the idle to 900 rpms you would hear the lope alot more but i chose to go with driveabilitey over the sound I'll post a video of the B&Bs on it, its alot louder and the car has cats

I am in the process of installing the torquer v3 in my car. That is what Matt from Texas Speed recommended. He said that I wouldn't have to worry about ptv clearance. I am shooting for 418-420 hp. I also plan on installing heads in the next year though.

I made 411 rwhp with a V2 on my LS6 without any drivability issues.... V3 seemed overkill and with only a 6-9 hp increase over the V2, it didnt seem worth it to me.
