New car check engine light Is on..
Greetings ladys and gents , Recently picked up a 1999 Targa , Love every Inch and sound of her , I do find she rides a little harsh , I gather thats due to the sloppy roads we have here In Montreal Quebec and the C5's leaf springs.
When I purchased the car every thing seemed fine , Apart from the minor stone chips , After a week of having her I came across a check engine light , Using the Innova 3100 obd2 scanner , She read as follows
0P140 Secondary Injection system.
Has or does any one have an Idea as to what this may be ?
Should I be worrying ?
Ps on another note , Went for an oil change and I was told to use reg oil , where as Ive read that syntec Is required ?
What should I be using ? AMSOIL SYNTEC ?

Don't know about your injector issue but use synthetic oil. Do not put reg oil in it. Mobile 1 is recommended and when in doubt use what they recommend. Or even if you're not in doubt. I use valvoline myself but it's on the approved list. Others use royal purple, but always use synthetic.

A P0140 is for the Bank 1 O2 sensor, position 2.
A P0410 is for the secondary air injection system.

Im not sure what that code Is ? Im assuming Its In relations to the cats ?
Is It some thing I should worry about , Would driving the car with light on hurt It?
