Cleaning radiator and condensor, how do I remove the fans?
Do they just slide off? Do I pull up and out? I'm heading to HF to get a wand with a turn. Then I was planning on pulling th efans so I could really get in there and clean it up.

Ideas on how to remove the fans?
Both the ac condenser and the fans lift up and out if the J hooks on the front and rear of the radiator
WOW..... Can't believe how much crap I had up in there. Thought I had cleaned it before, but withour removing the shroud and fans and blowing it out I had missed a LOT of stuff.
Waiting on my K&N filter to dry before checking it out.

I do mine early in the spring every year and get almost a full cup by volume, of sand, bug guts, fuzzies, grass, leaves, paper, etc.
I've got my rad out of the car right now and HOLY CARP is there ever a pile of stuff packed in there! The area of the rad directly in front of the fans is plugged solid! I've looked up in there plenty of times before from the bottom to make sure I didn't have ay shopping bags or small mamals trapped in there and saw nothing... the only way to see this is to pull the rad out!
Removing the fans and blasting it good from the back (fan) side should get it cleared out, but there will also be a PILE of shyte stuck in the front of the AC condenser as well, so if you really want to do a bang up job you may wish to pull the rad completely out, not a hard job if you already have the fans out.
I hope I'm able to clear mine out alright without bending the fins too badly... much of what's in the AC condenser is small pebbles like coarse sand, and it's anyone's guess as to what the mystery muck is that's plugging the rad. If I think of it I'll post a pic next week before and after I clean it out. BTW, 120k miles without being cleaned out.

You can go to a commercial AC supply house and get a spray can of commercial Condenser foam spray cleaner.. don't use gunk or any general cleaner.. these product could attack the aluminum.. buy the right stuff. spray it on the fins and let it sit for 5 minutes.. then use a hose without a nozzle. That sludge will float right out with out effecting the condenser
I've got that same wand however it wasn't getting all of the tiny rocks out. So I fabricated a wand of my own out of copper tubing and a couple of adapaters from the local home store and made a water wand. It gets the rocks out that the air wand could not.
