starving for air ??
Lets make an example......lets say your 400+ cubes and pushing 500+ to the tire. At what point does the 3ish" tube become inadaquate to provide the engine enough air (untill the ram air effect takes over) ??
On a previous setup (turbo+propane), at boost (low 6 PSI) I would pull a vacuum on the inlet tube (feeding the turbo). There for forcing the turbo to "overcome" the vacuum before it was able to make positive pressure. In turn taking it out of its island of effecency, thus, just pumping heat (turbo pumping 8lbs to make 6lbs).
My main question is has anyone tested on the dyno (engine or chassis) the effects of a 3ish" tube 2' long (vararam) and what the results were with out it ?? And perferably a bellmouth in place when the vararam was removed.
I am aware that B.T. had a nice setup.
Thanks....
