99 c5 performance upgrades
who's got advice for most bang for the buck? ive seen suggetions on
LS6 intake swaps. whats the best cold air intake setup? do throttle body spacers boost power or just go and beef up the throttle body?
i just bought a 99 c5 6speed with an aftetmarket exhaust i havent identified yet. its a 3 inch straight pipe setup, which i belieive is overkill on a nearly stock motor and prob a bit of a power robber, so i want to match intake air similarly.
any info, suggestions would be great

budget is small for now. its researching time so i dont wanna do any cheap mods that i might later swap for better mods. if i knew of some good inprovements i would do them. case in point, i dont want to throw a $300 intake system thats gives ten horse if i can spend $500-1000 and get 40HP. id save up for that one....

Vararam intake is a good mod, .3 on the quarter mile and can be bought new on ebay for 240.00. Headers are another great upgrade but can be expensive. Buy used headers for 500.00 and get 20 to 30 hp. LS6 intake is an ok upgrade for 300.00 (10 hp). Throttle body upgrade is BS.
