Relay replacment help

Thanks in advance for your help. How do you remove a relay. Does it just pull out. I'm learning as I go. Any advice is appreciated. Reverse lights quit working. Bulbs and fuses are good. So I'm down to relay or I heard there was a switch on the manual tranny, is there one on the A4's as well.

Most relays pull out although over time they kind of stick in there so pulling them out can be quite a challenge sometimes. Just be careful not to pull the top of the relay off.

Do your reverse lights come on when you unlock the car w/ the key fob?

Then its either the fuse or the relay...or both backup lamps have burned out. Wiggling the relay as you pull it out might help.

Pull and wiggle to get it out. Check the contact points on the old relay for any corosion. I use diaelectric grease on the contacts for any relay or bulb I replace.
