Had some intermittent issues with the passenger side window on my C5 a while a back, about 3 mos ago I went with the screwdriver fix. Took off the trim cover behind the door handle and gave the rear torx screw a nice whack with a flat head. Never had a problem since.
Today I had problems with it again for the first time since. Tried my screwdriver trick and nothing. I soon realized I also have an issue with the power lock on that side too. The lock wont work with the door handle switches on the passenger or driver side or the remote. The problem has to be related. Any advice?
Hmm, I dont hear the click so it could be the relay, why would the power lock not work though? Do they use the same relay?
Pull the door panel , there is a grey box with 3 or 4 plugs in it, switch the one with your drivers door to see it the passenger will now work. I bought the whole box for $90 on ebay and it solved my problem, but if just the relay is bad you can order that if you are handy with a solder gun, I m not sure how to tell though if its just the relay or the whole box. If its the lock and the window, I am guessing the whole box needs replaced, but I am not an expert. The box swap is simple though.
