Oil Pressure Sending Unit Replacement.
Just finished replacing the sending unit on my 2000. Cut the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 hole 9 inches back from the air intake toward the drivers side. Details. Remove the wipers: Pop off the buttons, remove the bolts, soak with WD 40 and pop them off. Remove the screen and top cover of the pan.
Tools and stuff we needed after cutting the hole. 2 zip ties for tieing the crossing hose back in the area. Dremmel Tool with 1/2 inch cutter wheel and a small saw with a handle. Mechanical finger for getting into the space. #27 metric deep socket, universal, extension, and a rachet, Long small straight screwdriver to hold the clip off the connector, with a long dent puller with a side puller to pop off the connector. If you have access to someone with a small hand they can reach in and remove the connector. We used the mechanical finger to start the new sending unit into the hole and then tightened it with the socket. I think that with 2 people you could probably do this in 20 minutes the second time.
