I need some help. I have a 2002 A4 Coupe and I am haveing a serious issue that I think is electrical in nature? As I am driving I put the driver side window down and it immediatly throws codes: the engine into reduced power mode, service TPMS, all the gauges max out like temp pressure and fuel guage goes down to low fuel and the radio cuts off and the window control wont work nor will the key fob to lock the car? My window wont move, I turn the car off and the codes go away, but when I try to put the window down the codes get thrown again every time? If I drive and I dont touch the window control, the codes do not get thrown. Let me know what you think,
Thanks for the response, but could you be more specific please. Im not too tech saavy...

When you open the door, the tube that conects the door to the rest of the car that holds the wires is a known problem-looks like an Accordian (I assume you know what they are??). Try Advanced Search above on "Accordian Tube"

If so pull the insulation back down and use some electrical tape to isolate the bare wire. You can also use some liquid electrical tape to insulate it. Ant boat store or hard ware store should have it.
When I asked about being specific I was hoping for more info related to the accordian door wires? Has anybody ever experianced this before or know what is the specific problem I need to look to fix? Thanks for your help.
Actually, it turned out it wasn't the bare wire. Bill later found that the serial interface wire's pin/socket actually gets lose and causes the problems on the data buss.
Upon CLOSER examination and after being corrected by another forum member, the bare wire is not the cause of the door wiring issue.
It turns out that the MAIN POWER PLUG, female pins get deformed and start to make POOR contact. The module sees power spikes and causes the serial data buss to corrupt.
SO,,, Disconnect the power connector, examine the female (and male pins. Look for dirt, corrosion, burnt pins, and DEFORMED FEMALE PINS.
You can fix the female pins and reshape the part that makes contact with the male pin with a metal pick.
