Default Poswer Seat issue

Hi guys
I'm trying to figure out the problem with my driver side power seat. First I figured out it was killing my battery with an intermitten hum sound then I checked the switches. The main switch the moves the seat back and forth works fine but the smaller switches for lumbar and other movements are dead I took the seat out to see what I can do anyone can give me some help to fix the problem....Thanks Chuck

I'm fighting something similar with my seat. From what I'm finding out you / we have a problem with 1. electrical grounds 2. seat computer 3. seat switch. I just replace my battery. Check you DIC for any possible codes.

Do a search with my nick and drivers front seat to see my problem and forum responses.

What I'd realllllly like to have is a wiring diagram of the seat and associated switches / computers.

Me too.

Point of interest, pulling fuse #35 shuts down the seat but not the two air bags in the seat.

I'd still like to be able to get a wiring schematic of the seat and associated switches.

If I fiddle with the seat wiring it will allow the seat switch to work, sometimes. Other times it moves on it's own. I'm growing pretty convinced that there is some loose wire in there, somewhere, and I've fiddled with them all and sprayed them with electrical contact cleaner.

Here is the information from the Service Manual:

Lumbar Support Description and Operation
Lumbar Support System Components

The lumbar support system consists of the following components:
The driver seat adjuster switch
The passenger seat adjuster switch
The driver seat lumbar pump and module
The passenger seat pump and module
The driver seat lumbar and side bladders
The passenger seat lumbar and side bladders
The SCM-L 10A fuse
The LUMBAR 15A fuse

Lumbar Support System Operation

Lumbar pump operation is controlled through relays in the lumbar module. Battery positive voltage from the instrument panel electrical center is supplied to the lumbar module and is used for pump operation. Battery positive voltage from the instrument panel electrical center is supplied to the lumbar control switches and is used to energize the relay coils. When a lumbar switch is pressed voltage is supplied to the control circuit which supplies the inflate or deflate relay coil and the pressure switch relay coil. Either the inflate or deflate relay along with the pressure switch relay must be energized in order for pump operation to occur. The lumbar control circuits are also used to control valves in the air lines from the lumbar pump to the seat lumbar and side bladders.

The diagnostic to follow:

The Schematic
