Default Running without a catback?

Hey guys, I am currently running a set of Z06 Ti's on my car and have decided to sell them since they are not loud enough for me. I originally had SLP loudmouths and want to go back. The question I have is that if I take the Z06 Ti's off, will it hurt the car to drive without an exhaust system? I have a set of Stock exhaust with polished tips that I could throw on there until I found a set of SLP's, but didn't know if it would cause a problem to not run anything at all. I have kooks longtubes with x-pipe and high flow cats for the remainder of the exhaust setup. The Z06 ti's are already sold, so I have to go ahead and take them off. TIA!

It should be just fine 'till the fuel tanks explode into flames.

It will be fine. I've been running an open x-pipe with XSPower longtubes for a month or more now. You will find out quickly how rich the stock tune is, in the form of a filthy trans and crossmember. I also keep earplugs in the car for extended highway driving, lol.

Just make SURE the collector to x connection is tight, as there won't be any support if you take the midpipes out too, (which I would do to avoid them swinging and hitting the tunnel).

Be careful running open exhaust like that. The pipes will be pointing directly at the rear leaf spring, and the heat can easily crack the spring.

The sound will be so loud it will make it difficult to drive the car.

You'll be fine. I must warn you that you might not want to put the rest of the exhaust back on. It's pretty awesome.

When I installed my headers I had to drive the car to a muffler shop without the catback. the sound was horrible and obnoxious. It did not sound cool in any way. I was glad I only drove a 15 miles because there is no way I could have driven and considerable distance with that sound.
put the stockers back on

Thanks for the replies guys! I went ahead and decided to just put the stockers back on for the time being. To me it actually sounds better with the stock pipes compared to the Z06 Ti's. Has a more deeper sound with the longtubes than it did with the Ti's. I know it might not flow as well, but it will do until I find some SLP's or bullets It can be a sleeper until then. BTW, I did crank it without the catback and it sounded awesome!
