Default Need HVAC Help - Heat & AC at the same time

Once again I need the wisdom of the forum members.

I'm stumped. Today I jump in the vette and the two driver side vents are blowing hot air and the passenger side is blowing ice cold AC??

Since the passenger side vents are blowing ice cold with the ac on and the auto temp set for 62°F I'm assuming it's and electrical issue in the HAVC control and not an AC compressor problem.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Thanks!

I've read quite a few posts where people have this exact issue recently. Seems to almost always be that the car is low on freon. Try getting a recharge...

Pull your codes too in case there's an actuator issue.

If you have no codes, you are probably a bit low on freon.

Pulled the codes and defiantly have something going on. By the way, AC is working fine today?

BCM U1096
SDM U1096
Radio U1096
HVAC U1096, B0361, B0441
SCM B0851
BO RFA C2110, C2115, U1000, U1255, U1096

Looking more and more like a drivers side ac actuator issue.

Thanks for your help!

Yep, looks like an actuator issue. Here's the first thing to try now. Clear the codes. This will cause the actuators to recalibrate. Then pull the codes again. If they come back, then you need an actuator. Here is what that actuator looks like broken:

Cleared the codes and now A/C seems to be working fine. If it fails again I guess it will be time to change the actuator.

Again the wisdom of the forum members come through with the solution. Thanks!
